Chuck Webster

Chuck Webster is a Brooklyn-based painter and printmaker. He has held solo exhibitions at ZieherSmith in New York and is in the permanent collections of the Whitney Museum of American Art and the MFA Houston. Webster’s marks play off of rich blocks of color in his bold compositions. An incessant sketcher, Webster describes his fascination with line, “I love the idea of making a mark...I’m in love with doing it. I find it to be a peculiar miracle that I need to have happen again and again and again.”
